Instructions for the Candidates

 

  1. This examination is very much useful for preparing CET examinations.
  2. The single application form should be filled for all three subjects.
  3. Complete forms along with the necessary fees (Rs.75/- per subject) must be submitted to Dr. Chikode P.P., Dept. of Physics on or before 10th Sept.2011
  4. Students will get receipt and roll number up to 30th sep. 2011.
  5. Examination venue will be in the Willingdon College, sangli.
  6. If you have selected for next level no further fees will be charged.
  7. The answers to NSEs are displayed on IAPT (Indian Association of Physics teachers) website (www.iapt.org.in) within a couple of days after the examinations.
  8. In each subject, certificates are given to top 10% students of every centre.
  9. Merit certificates are awarded to top 1% students of each state, in each subject.
  10. Special merit certificates will be awarded to National Top 1% students in each subject.
  11. If selected a special training, free of cost, will be provided to candidates for 45 days at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.
  12. After special merit amongst the training camp, students will be qualified for the International Olympiad.

Nature of the Question Paper

 

Physics

 

PART A: Multiple Choice Questions

Part A 1: 40 Questions with only single correct option (Negative marks for in correct answers)

                                                            +

Part A 2: 10 Questions with any number (1,2,3 or 4) of options may be correct. All the correct options must be marked to get the credit)

                                                            +

Part B : 5 or 6 problems or short answer questions.

                                                         [Total Marks :240]

 

Evaluation procedure for Physics

                                                                                                         

Part A is evaluated of ALL the students. Part B is assessed of only those students securing more than a certain “Cut-Off” marks in Part A. Part B is NOT evaluated of ALL the students. Top 300 students eligible (from all over India) are elected for the final examination before the training camp at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.
